Ruth Beaumont Cook will be joining us to talk about the history and background behind the superstitions that follow us.
Ruth Beaumont Cook is the author of three books of narrative, non-fiction history as well as numerous feature articles for Birmingham magazine, Alabama Heritage, Business Alabama, and other local, regional, and national publications. Her second book, Guests Behind the Barbed Wire, received a bronze medal from Independent Publishers Group for outstanding historical writing. She is a past chair of the Writing Today conference at Birmingham-Southern College and a member of the Alabama Writers Forum, having served on their Board of Directors for several years.
