We will watch a NAMI presentation called "Ending the Silence" and then counselor Christa McCrorie will talk with us about stress management and mental health in general.
I don't know about you, but the last couple of years have been rough at times. School can be hard enough, but we all missed a lot of big social events, and students had to figure out online school. Grades may have slipped. Friendships may have fizzled. Anxiety and depression have spread like wildfire. Have you wondered how to get help for yourself or your friends? One of the first steps is to talk about it. We will have a way for you to ask anonymous questions. This event is meant for teens (middle & high school) only. NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Christa McCrorie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in and founder of Creative Therapeutic Solutions, LLC. We will also have representatives from Addiction Prevention Coalition and Magic City Acceptance Center.
