What do I need to get a card?


Adults must present up to two current forms of identification, one to prove identity and one to prove place of residency.


Online renewals/applications can only be processed for patrons 18 years of age or older.  Any cards belonging to patrons under the age of 18 must be renewed in person by parent/guardian.


Examples include:


  • driver's license or government-issued ID
  • utility bill
  • bank book
  • apartment lease
  • current postmarked letter with your name and address


You must have a valid email address to use this online application. We will email you your new card number once your application has been confirmed, and we will mail your new card to the address included in your application. 


Non-Residents of Jefferson County are required to pay an annual fee of $50.00 before account will be activated.
